John F. Medved Sr., having been born and raised in Detroit, Michigan was naturally drawn to the auto industry, which he has been actively involved in for over fifty years. After graduating from both Allen Park High School and Eastern Michigan University, he went on to eventually own and operate eleven franchises over the years. During that period, he came to understand the importance of distribution and noted that coordinating shipments for such a great number of places required skill, attention to detail, and a knowledge of how to make things easier for customers. Currently, he owns Bear Mountain Accessories, which is an ADI for General Motors. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Colorado Licensing Board and was elected as President of the Board for two years. He was also named Colorado Time’s Dealer of the Year in 2009. He uses his years of experience and knowledge gained to see that operations run smoothly. John rose to his position by focusing on the smallest details that allowed merchandise to get from warehouse to customer. He knew that if that didn’t happen, businesses would fail, both his and others. His position as an officer in the US Navy helped add to his natural adherence to perfection and dedication. He also utilizes his experience as the father of six and grandfather of seven to guide his employees in a manner that helps them grow in skill and knowledge.
